DESIGN STATEMENT:
“What Makes Us Girls” is an Australian collection that daringly fuses feminine elegance with the rugged allure of motocross, inspired by swimwear and scuba gear. Crafted entirely from scuba fabric, the collection features custom colors and exclusive prints developed by Barr. Central to the designs is a unique print derived from Adrianna Barr’s great-grandparents’ love letters, with soft blues and pinks interwoven with bold patterns, symbolizing love that transcends time. The collection’s silhouettes are meticulously crafted, reimagining motorcycle jackets with wetsuit-inspired paneling, combining structure and fluidity. Through this work, Barr explores how love, identity, and memory can be expressed and preserved in fashion, making each piece both a story and a statement.
