CREATIVE BIO:
Aliya is a photographer, animator and stylist based out of Sydney. A graduate of the Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia. Aliya specialises in creative direction and styling. With experience shooting for Australian Fashion Week and with upcoming musicians and designers, Aliya has a passion for lifestyle, editorial, product photography and creative marketing.
DESIGN STATEMENT:
“Duty Free” is a lifestyle narrative that delves into the intersection of luxury and travel with a vintage 60’s pop . Throughout history travel has always been tied with luxury, with the motif of the suitcase Duty Free explores the narrative both in the past and present. From a child taking their favorite toy away to an adult taking their favorite fragrance. The products and items we take away are a reminder of ourselves. Each object embodies a sense of identity.
This project is more than a collection of goods; it’s a curated narrative of personalization, refinement and wit, crafted for those who see each purchase not as a transaction but as an extension of their identity. Inviting you to reflect on how your own “trinkets” reflect yourself.
