STUDENT BIO:
Graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design from Whitehouse Institute of Design, Sydney. I have always had a great interest in Interiors and hold a passion for design that grows stronger day by day. My vision is to create beautiful and functional spaces for people to enjoy, in which appreciates the aesthetic and value of what interiors have to offer, as well as prioritising in following sustainable practices. Through its functionality and form using the power of colour, texture and lighting; in creating a sense of balance within a space has a substantial effect on our mood and emotions. Interior Design has a core strength in forming our world, to having the ability to tell a story. In seeking creative and innovative directions enhances the interior environment in which we live and work in.
PROJECT STATEMENT:
Illuminance- A diverse residential project; The concept enhances the idea of diversity amongst the community within Woolloomooloo, NSW catering for an array of demographics; The programme establishes a variation of retail and residential spaces with allowing for both public and private access to the rooftop. An open entry point to the interior activates the exterior marketplace creating its own independent precinct.
As the community enters the space, the open design concept considers the importance of wellness, and are welcomed by an open central courtyard exposed to the outside elements. Allowing for ventilation and sunlight to penetrate and reflect off the rippled light well from the rooftop to the ground level; individuals are encouraged to gather and appreciate what the space has to offer.
