Design statement
Earthborne is a fashion and beauty story that reimagines femininity through the raw power of nature. Inspired by the textures, patterns, and resilience found in the natural world, the project challenges the notion of femininity as delicate, instead portraying it as bold, grounded, and life-giving. Through highly textural styling, pattern mimicry, and beauty looks that echo organic forms, Earthborne celebrates Mother Nature as a symbol of strength. Essentially, it is a story of feminine self expression, and it takes audiences back to a world of raw and earthy realness. Its aim is to take the thoughts and experiences of individuals and portray them through a raw, and undone settings. Peeling these layers back allows there to be a heavier emphasis on the key elements of beauty, texture, and fashion. The concept expands into print through a self-produced magazine and tactile collateral, each created on seed-embedded, naturally textured paper, reinforcing the connection between visual storytelling, design, and the living earth
