Delta Tabbernal is an emerging creative based in Sydney who specialises in photography and fashion styling. Delta has always had a strong passion for creating art. She takes inspiration from her foundational background in ballet, how emotions and narratives can be expressed without any words. Delta is known for her unique photography style and abstract colour combinations. Delta’s work aims to convey a meaningful narrative and often includes themes of archival and modern elements. She regularly includes unique patterns and textures, with a mix of different aesthetics that revolve around a vintage theme.
Design Statement
House of Strange is an anomaly editorial story that fuses people with furniture and household objects. It centres around vintage and retro style, with a modern edge. Lamp shades, lounges, and vases, where the furniture and person become connected. It reminds us the importance of interior functionality, to embrace character and the
curious. Inspired by the ‘Jane Ashers Fancy Dress’ book published in 1983, which showcases quirky, innovative costume design. Ultimately, ‘House of Strange’ is for people with an intrigued mind and who enjoy the character of past times.
