EMILY WHITTICK
CREATIVE BIO:
Emily Whittick is a Lao-Australian creative director, her works exploring the contrast between softness and strength. Growing up across New South Wales, she developed a fascination with the ever changing definitions of home and belonging, using art and design as both escape and connection. Her work combines styling, photography, videography and mood boarding to create imagery that feels candid yet intentional, playful yet considered. With a focus on storytelling, the young creatives’ work aims to capture the in-between moments, gestures and atmospheres that are often unseen; while shaping a distinctive visual language grounded in honesty, collaboration and care.
DESIGN STATEMENT:
Found Home explores how girls create home wherever they are: in quiet interiors, amongst urban streets or in improvised outdoor spaces. The editorial considers girlhood as a practice of survival, belonging and self expression, showing how home is carried and remade through connection rather than being tied to walls. Across the narrative, fashion becomes a tool to communicate resilience and identity - styling, posing and personal touches are used to construct meaning, turning clothing into a visual language of care, improvisation and playful resistance.
