GEORGIA CHEAIB
CREATIVE BIO:
Georgia Cheaib is an emerging photographer and stylist whose artistic path began in the rural area of Moss Vale, located in the Southern Highlands & Whitehouse institute of Design, Surry Hills, Australia. Georgia has developed her talents in creative direction, photography, and illustration to establish a distinct essence that intertwines nostalgia, heritage, and the nuances of modern life. Her photography elegantly fuses rich textures with the imagery of familiar farm animals, presenting a refined perspective on her journey from rural to urban living and ultimately resulting in the portrayal of a timeless narrative.
DESIGN STATEMENT:
This project incorporates country-inspired aspects into the metropolitan surroundings, providing a different perspective on city life. Introducing symbols like the chicken into cityscapes results in a whimsical blend of rustic and modern aesthetics. The chicken, formerly a symbol of rural simplicity, takes on new meaning in the city, combining the earthy with the industrial. This contrast challenges traditional notions of city fashion and design, initiating a dialogue between structured urban style and the natural appeal of the countryside. Finally, the concept honours modern culture’s distinct blend of rural and urban influences.
