HOLLY MICHELLE JOHNSON
Creative Bio:
Holly Michelle Johnson is an emerging Melbourne based creative, who has recently graduated from Whitehouse Institute of Design, Australia with a Bachelor of Design specialising in Creative Direction and Styling. Her playful character, energetic styling and futuristic imagery ensure that a curious narrative is told throughout her mixed media work. She is known for her ability to break down and translate otherworldly premises, by sharing her concepts with experimental post-production visuals. Specialising in styling, photography, editing and imagining boundary-pushing concepts, Johnson harnesses the ability to reach new audiences.
Design Statement:
Contradicting the notion of staying stagnant and unchanged, InMotion was conceptualised to realise movement and act on transformation. The visual identity is shaped by clean forms and tactile textures, aiming to encourage self-progression and target aspiring creator archetypes. Capitalising on the growing momentum of women interested in Formula 1, InMotion drives bold change through aspirational imagery. The cross section of fashion and Formula 1 has been explored through three narratives: Velocity, This Way Up and Evolving Forms. InMotion involves a thoughtful combination of masculine forms in set design finishes contrasting with feminine silhouettes in fashion styling, interconnected with experimental editing. InMotion will reframe change as positive and inspire movement within your life no matter how small.
