JAE RATANASIRILAK
CREATIVE BIO
Jae Ratanasirilak is a Thai-Australian designer whose creative work lies in a space between the felt and the seen, often perceived as a translator of emotion by turning form and culture into visual language. With a passion for making the intangible tangible, Jae combines graphic design and photography to craft pieces that resonate and tell a narrative beyond the surface. Her creative journey began in early childhood with constant exposure to the visual arts and fashion that quickly formed into an obsession that shaped her instinctive eye for image-making and aesthetic rhythm. As time progressed, it grew into a conscious practice of design that derives from intention, intuition and texture. Known for her emotionally driven design and texturised graphics, Jae’s design world is tactile and layered which has become a reflection of her values that are rooted in authenticity, culture and artistic honesty. Her work carries a distinctive voice that explores the links between personal narratives and collective experiences, designing not just visuals but pieces that hold meaning.
DESIGN STATEMENT
PHANTASMAGORIA explores the blurred threshold between dreaming and waking, a surreal landscape where memory, light and illusion intertwine. It encapsulates the sensation of drifting through a half lucid state, where reality dissolves into abstract emotion and form. Typography becomes a living organism- where words breathe and blur like fragments of a forgotten vision. each phrase acts as both symbol and echo, inviting viewers to inhabit a world where meaning shifts with perception. Through surreal design, distorted text and fluid composition,
PHANTASMAGORIA embodies the poetry of the subconscious; a dream that lingers, half remembered, beneath the surface of consciousness.
