DESIGN STATEMENT
WOVEN IN MOTION is a unisex 5-body collection that aims to capture the feeling of organised chaos. The use of bright, warm colours, such as oranges, pinks, and a variety of reds combined with layered silhouettes and an array of tactile and visual textures, including pleating, applique, and cutting are some techniques used throughout the collection to create this feeling. Inspired by the early 2000s skate and rock culture, motifs of worn denim, plaid, and oversized silhouettes are repeated throughout the collection, revoking a sense of familiarity and comfort among the viewer. The collection encapsulates personal views on the world and aims to embrace individuality and the importance of chaos.
