STUDENT BIO:
Jess is a young designer with a focus on fun and playfulness through clothing. Creating designs that provoke the essence of freedom breaking free from traditional dress norms. Inspiring the wearer to feel empowered and with the ability to express themselves no matter how individual.
Putting a piece of her heart into each piece the designers hopes the wearer will wear their heart on their sleeve. Socially conscious Jess does not design to a niche, target market or ideal instead creating pieces that can be worn by all genders, ages and body types. Drawing inspiration from vintage, and Japanese aesthetics, Jess’s designs lean into the realm of kitsch without any shame.

The Night Light Collection combines the soft and sweet aesthetics of childhood bedtime. With cheeky hints of supernatural creatures and a dark sense of humour.
A soft and pastel colour palette is paired with a digitally designed custom print of a cyclops bunny on both a Lycra and a cotton voile throughout all three of the bodies.
This combination aims to remind us of waking up in the middle of the night from a nightmare in a comfy bed full of frills and stuffed toys.
