PROJECT STATEMENT
Corpus Null is a transeasonal womenswear collection exploring the idea of fragmented identity - who we are versus who we present to the world. Drawing on José Ortega y Gasset’s theory of “dehumanisation” in art, the collection examines the boundary between human and machine through uncanny symbolism, modular design, and sculptural tailoring.
Targeted toward the avant-garde luxury market, the collection uses wool suiting, cotton drill, veg tanned leather and coated synthetics to create structured yet adaptive silhouettes. Techniques such as waxing, digital printing, vinyl printing, anatomical seamwork, corsetry, and modular panelling form garments that echo the body’s disjointed architecture and layer. Corpus Null blurs the distinction between protection and performance - a commentary on identity shaped through fabrication and form.
