STUDENT BIO:
My dream is to work in the fashion industry as I am fascinated by the colours and clothing. I have been privileged to study the art of fashion which has allowed me to express my creativity to create the art. From my perspective, fashion is another concept for individuals to allow and give the ability to themselves to define or interpret their personality from the outside world. It is interesting how garments and accessories can transform a person into a walking piece of art. Style of concept that draws my attention is vintage and I am particularly interested in combining it with modern style and making it fashionable, chic and classic. The inspiration that I gain from trend research is phenomenal. I am an avid observer of trends through vogue and my favourite is Parisian style. I love developing my own design by getting inspired from Parisian appearance as well as the interiors of Paris. The love for experimenting and sourcing fabric is a common passion for designers and it is one of my strongest abilities. It makes a significant impact in my fashion life, discovering the blend in materials and style of the fabrics. My interest in fashion has grown further as I have been learning and developing my knowledge in depth. I’m excited to develop furthermore in practical skills and be an inspiration to others.
COLLECTION STATEMENT:
The collection “The Mood” echo traditional Parisian aesthetic and is characterised by the combination of chic playfulness through the use of bold and extraordinary floral prints layered together. The structure of the design is mostly inspired by interior and exterior shapes, such as different styles of floral prints. Therefore, excessive volumes and ruffles are applied to show a feminine appearance to the design. The colour palettes I have selected are vibrant colours to draw attention to details including use of fabrications. THE MOOD has a passion for details and a love of colour and print.
