DESIGN STATEMENT:
'Wonderland, a collection that takes you down the rabbit hole into a world of femininity, nostalgia and dreams. Taking inspiration from Lewis Carroll's
'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Alice becomes a symbol for growing up, gasping identity and femininity. This collection reflects her metaphorical journey through Wonderland, grappling with the complexity of girlhood and navigating an ever-changing world. It offers an intimate and authentic exploration of these themes. The collection is hyper-feminine, ethereal, and delicate, exploring the concepts of movement within the fabrics - embodying the metaphor of flowers, and soft, intimate silhouettes. This collection delves into the interplay of knitwear, tulle, and silk fabrics, each thoughtfully gathered and shirred to create dynamic textures and shapes. Wonderland questions what it means to grow up whilst being pre-emptively nostalgic of our lives and those distant memories, whilst reinventing Alice into contemporary times
