KIMBERLEY REID
STUDENT BIO:
I am Kimberley Reid, graduating with a Bachelor of Design in Interior Design. My philosophy on design is based on my intent to stay curious, to absorb inspiration from people, places and feelings. I am intrigued by the psychology of design and how the choices that we make daily regarding life, work and socialising all impact our wellbeing and how we view the world. Through this understanding I aim to explore the boundaries of interior spaces by creating spaces that add value to one's everyday life, from the architecture to the soft furnishings of the space.
COLLECTION STATEMENT:
The Kinetic is a joint program of tertiary institutions for graduates and professionals. The program aims to provide a sub community for artists and designers within a community through repurposing a historical site. Phase one allows an opportunity for a space for workshops, galleries, studios and event spaces culminating into phase two, a public high school. The program aims to deliver a space for individuals to continually learn and develop their craft through access to necessary equipment and constant learning through collaboration with others.
