STUDENT BIO:
I am Kirsten Kannemeyer and I am a contemporary Stylist and Artist. My diverse range of influences and inspirations is translated through my creative processes and technique. I aim to create beautiful pieces inspired by the design elements used in fashion. My work features a series of illustrations, collages and styled photography reflective of line and form, which add character and dimension to the garments. Print, texture and movement define my style formula and my bold disposition is consistently reflected in my work; my design aesthetic is vibrant with a sense of purpose.
COLLECTION STATEMENT:
The editorial, ‘Knack 2020’ features a series of illustrations, fashion photography and collages based on line and form seen throughout fashion design. The multimedia spectacle includes carefully considered art illustrations that represent my love for print and texture complimented by photographic elements to showcase my work as a Stylist and Photographer. The editorial will place an emphasis on the visual communication effects that are celebrated through a diversity of mediums and result in a dramatic visual experience.
