BIO + COLLECTION STATEMENT:
Manar Haidar is an Australian born fashion designer currently located in Sydney. In 2019 she attended the Whitehouse Institute of Design to study a bachelor’s degree in fashion. During her time at university Manar successfully developed her own design philosophy; inspired by concepts ranging from historic literature to politics. Manar has demonstrated a high standard of workman’s ship in both practical and theory components of design. Her commitment to sustainability is firm and her brand ‘MANAR HAIDAR’ continues to grow popularity through her alluring voluminous silhouettes inspired by architecture and geometry. Her graduate collection ‘LIFE BOATS’ serves as a visual narrative for individual interpretation. Each body depicting a life experience of its own through a redesigned life jacket
