STUDENT BIO:
Martha Mills is a Sydney based creative, stylist & photographer. Known for her
bold and outgoing aesthetic, her style has been incorporated into her work in
fashion and beauty shoots. Martha is passionate about editorial fashion, using
anomaly, high contrast, and strong visuals to distinguish her work. Completing her
Bachelor of Design at Whitehouse Institute of Design and freelancing as a stylist for
Sydney based magazines, her styling aesthetic is well-known for her use of colour,
unconventional approaches, layering and bold accessories. Being inspired by the 90’s
and 2000’s, feminism, and empowerment, she aims to create work that allows people
to view fashion & beauty from a different perspective.

COLLECTION STATEMENT:
‘Silver Lining’ represents the art of discovering beauty in everything, through a
colour story of silver that weaves together the ordinary and luxurious. This concept
aims to juxtapose conventionally ‘ugly’ and ‘pretty’ elements, creating striking
contrasts and bold imagery, encouraging people to push their own self expression.
With an abundance of layers and accessories, it transforms the mundane into the
extraordinary. This story is a celebration of the unexpected, an invitation to view the
world from a different perspective, and find the silver lining in every aspect of life.
