DESIGN STATEMENT:
Welcome to the dollhouse. ‘Crumb’ is an immersive narrative designed to bring a sense of nostalgia to its audiences, celebrating and exploring the dollhouse that is physical and print media industries. By diving into the aesthetics and cultural significance of 1960s media, ‘Crumb’ inspires a rediscovering of joy in the analog, cultivating an appreciation for the stories hidden within each item. Physical media arouses the senses of touch, smell, and hearing (Nyindodo, 2024). ‘Crumb’ pays homage to the tactile encounters of Polaroids, DVDs, CDs, Vinyl Records, and curated book and magazine collections that formerly shaped our society and beyond.
