Molly Imeson is an emerging creative based in Brisbane. Her work captures beautiful movement, and is curated with a mix of elements reflective of her experience of traveling Australia as a child. Inspiration is also found in her spirited upbringing, where life on the road with her musical parents has offered a bohemian edge to her unique design identity. This is translated into her work through styling, where fringed edges, unorthodox combinations and layered textural elements are at play. Her work is a conscious reflection of her introspective nature, deeply connecting ideas of classic, chic, clean and bohemian in a way that is both highly considered and purposeful.
CONCEPT STATEMENT
Subliminal is a fashion editorial that explores the psyche of childhood memories, innocence and sisterhood. The nostalgic essence is captured through a refined lens, highlighting luxury leather accessories and women’s apparel. Playful and innocent in nature, the editorial celebrates the whimsical childhood moments that shaped these women, and highlights a bond that is revisited and shared between sisters. The fashion story pays homage to rural roots, where these memories were originally made. This rural influence not only sets the scene for the editorial, but also feeds across into materiality, shape and texture. Imagery that whispers of playful childhood, narratives that speak of sisterly connection—this issue reimagines fashion, leather accessories and design as places where innocence and modern sensibility can intertwine.
