Vittharika Khchao (Tiger) is a Khmer multidisciplinary creative based in Sydney. Her creative direction aims to present powerful visual narratives that offer an experience of finding peace in a fast living world. Tiger’s world of design dives into the exploration of contemporary styles, vibrant colours, and surrealistic flares. With a deep love for art, fashion, food, and interiors her works are a representation of how she views the world; a playground for infinite creativity. Tiger’s exploration of the relationship between man made and natural textures/elements reveal a world of how all of which she sees becomes art.
DESIGN STATEMENT
In the uprising of fast-paced technology and artificial intelligence, our connection to what grounds us as humans is gradually fading. Reconnect is a lifestyle and fashion editorial representing the journey of finding sanctuary in what was once all we had. Where wood, metal, and lush greenery can be reimagined into an escape. Through a lush and vibrant colour palette, Reconnect evokes the feeling of taking in that first fresh inhale of a forest. It is the feeling of soft winds blowing salty air, and waves hushing your thoughts. This work is an invitation to release your compulsion for speed, unemotional, and seamless digital perfectionism. Instead, embrace analog, embrace the imperfection and beauty of slower living. Reconnect is your call to find balance, find your harmony between this technological world we have created, and the natural world that sustains us. Release to Reconnect.
