DESIGNER BIO
Zakia Haraco is an up and coming Creative Director, Stylist and Photographer based in Melbourne. She has trained in multiple disciplines from interior, beauty and fashion. Her work displays a perception of detail which reflects her maximalist aesthetic inspired by music, cultures and film by applying various techniques through illustration, photography, graphic design that often results in alternative narratives and dreamlike realities. As a designer, Zakia is eager to start her career and continue to expand her style, with the ambition to collaborate with creatives and publications.
DESIGN STATEMENT
‘Playground’ is a beauty and fashion editorial that explores different narratives inspired by album covers. Embracing digital mediums, the creative direction
behind playground highlights bold colours and textures by utilising mixed media. To encapsulate the assortment of details, the collages look closely at familiar products and fashion in a distorted and manipulated scale.
